Gas Careers

Gas industry sector careers

Careers in this industry provide career pathway opportunities for formally recognised qualifications in Gas Operations from Certificate II to Diploma.

This sector supports one Certificate III apprenticeship and one Certificate II traineeship, with additional qualifications up to Diploma and others under development within these levels.

Qualifications in this sector cover cylinder operations, fuel delivery, gas supply operations as well as pipeline constructions and operations.

Additional qualification pathways to Diploma are available offering those in the industry and those wishing to join the industry an array of long-term career opportunities in an exciting clean energy based industry.

Typical entry into the industry is via an apprenticeship, for a trade, or traineeship / open entry for other occupations. Additional upskilling in vocational education and training programs are available to gain specific industry skill set credentials, or full qualifications at higher levels, which provide a career pathway to broader or higher more complex skills, competence and performance.
